09/17/06 - Good times, good times. The anime is almost over, and probably the life span of this website as well. I'll of course keep this site up with some random stuff on it, just for informational purpose. I'm hoping someday I might be able to play host to a game translation project, but that's rather unlikely to happen....(Let me know if you'd like to translate the game and want a home for your project! :D ) Updates:

• I have a Rapidshare link up for the TobiTouka flying shooter doujin game, featuring, who else, Touka. In this game, you fly around in the air and slice things down. And sometimes shoot them down too. Anyway, the file was divided into a split archive Zip file, as Rapidshare doesn't like files more than 300MB. This game requires DirectX, so make sure you have that too. Find the first part of the archive here and the second part here. I hated having to Rapidshare it, but I can't keep something this big on ANY of my servers. :P

08/17/06 - Alright! More than two and a half months! Not to mention that the anime is at ep 20! <..... sigh> I'm sure that, by now, everyone has heard about how Utawarerumono has been licensed for release in the US by ADV Films (as announced at Otakon '06), and that in itself is fantastic. However, I'm not sure I'm into the idea of retitling it to "Shadow Warrior Chronicles." While the licensing gives the anime a lease on life, could we have PLEASE made it sound less like a show targeted towards EARLY GRADE SCHOOLERS? Because it's most certainly not... Well, so long as stuff remains unedited, even with the retitling, I'd buy it. Because I love it so much. Updates are:

• As you can see, the website has been updated on its layout. Took me long enough to find a cool looking solution...
• There's actually something up in the merchandise section now. It currently has pictures of the Mutsumi DX figure from Yujin, alongside the gashapon trading figures from Kotobukiya. Pictures of the to-be-released 1/8 PVC figure of Eruruu from Kotobukiya to follow. Eventually.
• Forums have really livened up. Please join us in the forums if you haven't yet!
• Started my first translation group (of one, so far :P ) with a little joke strip about Oboro and the twins, which can be found here.
• Speaking of translations, I've got sample images of my first real translation project here.
• I've found that my gallery script downgraded the quality of my wallpaper uploads to 60% original. I will eventually get around to changing that and reuploading all the wallpapers, at original quality that I found them at and with renamed tags so that you don't see that garbled spew that Gallery can't translate out of Japanese.

I'm personally more into Yesy's subs of UtaMono than Static-Subs, and almost completely not into any of Your-Mom's subs, or at least what they've done of it. It mostly has to do with issues of how things are translated. I'm something of a perfectionist, though I understand that sometimes things have to be translated for clarity, but not to the extent of almost substituting meaning in.

05/30/06 - Wow, been almost a month since I last updated. School's finally out, but I have a summer class to take, which ends this Friday (thank you, <insert deity of choice here>!). Anyway, a couple things: The site is going to get revamped into something more user friendly sometime soon in the future.
Second, I will be posting some doujins (clean ones, mind you! I'm trying to stay within my contract with the server host) that I have. Just a matter of debating whether or not I want to do so by putting them in the gallery or by just leaving them in the *.zip or *.rar formats I have them in.
Third, there is now a forum in existance for the discussion of Utawarerumono-related stuff. I figure, so many people come to this site, might as well toss one up. It'll get some customization soon, but for now, talk away!
Fourth, if I can get off my rear long enough to start writing down what I've been reading, I'm going to start scanlating sections of the Utawarerumono comic anthologies for your reading pleasure. There are some good funny ones in these books!
And lastly, thank you again for ANOTHER 18000 hits! Wow, being linked from the Wikipedia is SERIOUS BUSINESS. =)

05/06/06 - Wallpapers in various sizes are currently up in the gallery. Get to it from the Gallery page. The wallpaper section currently looks wierd with the text because the image file names were in Japanese text, and apparently Gallery can't really handle that, so it makes the page all stretched. Please bear with me as I try to fix that at some point in time.
